FIVE BUSINESS TRAVEL TRENDS:  WHAT INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS NEED TO KNOW NEXT YEAR

1. Business travel roars back: How much money is spent on business travel worldwide? What’s the forecast for next year? Which markets are leading the recovery?
2. Changing travel patterns: Travel patterns continue to evolve. Are employees taking longer trips? Are they taking fewer day trips? Are they engaging in more or less “premium” travel? Are they extending work trips for vacation?
3. Current technologies: Which technologies do travel programs use? Which technologies do hotels use?
4. Emerging technologies: How do industry professionals feel about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential impact on the industry?
5. Diversity and inclusion: What percentage of industry professionals are women and minorities? How well are women and minorities represented at the executive level?

Presented by:

Mark Sharoff is a Senior Research Manager at GBTA, responsible for researching and writing reports on a variety of industry topics. He has been with GBTA since 2014. He holds a Master's degree from Georgetown University and a B.A. from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. A native of Denver, he is a big fan of sports and affordable restaurants.
